mousesports knock EnVyUs out
mousesports are through to Group C's decider at ESL One Cologne after seeing off EnVyUs 16-12 in an elimination match on Train.
The match began with a messy pistol round going in mousesports' favour as Denis "denis" Howell got the defuse through a smoke with two EnVyUs players still alive. A third-round buy from the Frenchmen then paid off, and even though the following round went the way of mousesports, the Germans struggled to get a grip on the game.
Down 5-7, mousesports knew that they had little margin for error as they were about to switch to the Terrorist side, and that is when players like Chris "chrisJ" de Jong and denis stepped up to the plate, powering the team to overturn the deficit before the end of the half.
EnVyUs will watch the rest of the Major from the sidelines
The second half began with mousesports once again taking the pistol round, following a B execute, but they were handed a heavy blow in the following round as EnVyUs hit back with pistols. The Frenchmen went on to add four more rounds to their tally, forcing mousesports to call a tactical pause.
chrisJ put EnVyUs' winning streak to an end with a triple kill near the electric box, with that round eventually turning into a massive streak for the Germans. EnVyUs still called a timeout in a bid to adjust their defense, but without success as they continued to struggle. mousesports eventually hit 16 rounds, sending EnVyUs home in the group stages for the second Major in a row.
